Euro nonpower manual steering rack legal for DSP?

    Simple question. Any answer?

    Not looking to change ratio.

No, and that will change your ratio, it's a longer ratio rack.

It's also not a good idea for autox, these cars are not light, and with sticky tires, you're gonna give yourself a hell of a workout.

Good "cheater" rack would be the e30 M3 unit, but I didn't say that.

That being said, quit screwing with your car, get it back together and just drive it.

Swing wild, brake later, don't apologize.

Leaking P/S, just considering options if something is wrong. (if it broken, replace it with an upgrade theory) Hopefully a good wipe down and it'll not be an issue for tech inspect for schools, Mar 26th or 28th, whatever the saturday is.

I always have to laugh with all the people who think a manual rack is going to make them drive like Mario Andretti.. ;)

i think you might be wrong.... when i installed a euro manual rack in a car, it was the same ratio as the power one. identical.

The Euro rack is 4.4 turns IIRC, making it .4 turns more than standard.

what is the ratio on an e30 M3 rack? I want to get something tighter, I was doing hand-over-hand steering last Sunday at the auto-x.

                          The E30 M3 rack is 3.5.
