Definitely 3 pins on the IE race hood!!!! I ran one for a few races and I have a picture somewhere where mine is all bowed up. I thought it was going to come off the car so I had to tape the leading edge.

I had a IE race hood on my black car with 2 pins on the radiator support. I added a rib across the front to reduce flex and glassed the stock rear mounts on.

            worked just fine over 100mph

On my car I have the stock stuff at the back and just two pins on the leading edge. Still the stock hood. No flexing, buckling.

                  Cheers

Anyone have pics for the trunk??? I'm most interested in location of the plates/pins and how you attached them - I need to go this route since my trunk latch is mostly inop and I'm not buying a new one for chumpcar....

                        Those aero-latches are sweet.

Word of caution. If you go with regular 'torsion' style pins, stay away from the Mr. Gasket ones. Cheap, and you get less than you pay for. The torsion spring/loop doesn't work to hold the pin in place. I should have just bought the captive ones like on the white car that !Kid posted. Those work great.
