Anyways, on your weight thing...I'd recommend getting a good set of scales and trying to equalize your F/R weight removal. Don't go too nuts on the easy stuff like scraping your floors clean of sound deadening or removing the trunk tar - that weight's mounted in the best possible location (low) and you can easily get the car to 2,500 without it.

I would, however, swiss cheese/cut up anything in front of or behind the F/R wheels. For a TT car, there's really no good reason for anything to exist before the front wheels or after the rears.

And good for you keeping it a TT car. It's fun to just do whatever you want with a looser rule set. And the guys over at MOTOIQ seem to be working on a tuner/modified car W2W series that will mirror the ruleset of TT.
I agree in the swiss cheese,be sure that when you do that to get a bucket and see how much it weights. Cut the bracing out off the hood and the truck lid(unless your using fiberglass)and get rid of the hood hinge assy and put pin's in. Also use a circular saw blade and put holes in the hood and trunk lids and engine and trunk area and inside anywhere it will not cause a support issue.
