    Pyrotect hemlets - any opinions??

Looking for a helmet for only occassional use. I know all about the Snell rating. An sa2000 is only going to be good for 5 years or so. That is fine for me.

What I am looking for is any opinions on the Pyrotect and G-Force helmets. This is going to be only for HPDE and perhaps auto-x.

I don;t want to just get the cheapest thing out there. Anyone know about the quality of these two brands?

I have a G-force; it's very well constructed. It's much better than the loaners at Autoxes. ;)

I was in the same boat as you, but I talked to some BMW track guys in the area. Seems that G-force is the helmet they like to use. I got it for the same reason as you too.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

only word of advice to you... NEVER buy a helmet without trying it on. it will not fit, i can 99% garuntee it, i had to try on about 16 helmets until i found the one that fit my head, and wearing a helmet that doesnt fit right is retarded and defeats the purpose.

I dunno, I ordered mine online, measured my head, selected the right size and it fits fine.

I plan on getting a G-Force to replace my current helmet. The local CCA uses G-Force helmets for loaners.

We guessed the first time, and were way off. Measured it, and this helmet fits fine.

Also be careful buying a G-Force. Don't get the m2000 rated one as most tracks don't allow motorcycle helmets.

No concern with the, I just know a guy that bought the m2000 because ti looked the same and he didn't realize it was motorcycle rated.

Pyrotect is made by Bell. I have one and it fits like other Bells. They seem like perfectly good helmets to me.
