Clay to Race Spec E30 at VIR

JAMES CLAY TAKES THE WHEEL THIS WEEKEND AT VIR

Continuing the support of the highly competitive Spec E30(SE30) series, the folks at DriveGear, www.drive-gear.com, are happy to announce that BimmerWorld’s own James Clay, www.bimmerworld.com, will climb behind the wheel of the Drive-gear #88 to compete this Saturday, February 19th, at Virginia International Raceway.

First announced on Spece30.com, the news is not only great for Drive-gear, but for all drivers in the NASA MA SE30 series who will get the rare chance to go up against a pro.

“I’m looking forward to getting back in a Spec E30 car,” says Clay. “It’s been a long time since I worked with Carter on the initial rule set and much too long since I’ve been back in a car to race.” Having pulled off his recent successful debut in the Grand Am GS Continental Tire series, Clay is looking to score another success this weekend. “It’s a good group,” he says, “and always good to be part of that camaraderie.”

I didn't know that giant could fit in an E30! Very cool to hear.

I like clay. He seems like a really down to earth guy (but I secretly hope he gets schooled by the amatuers). This will be really fun.
