Black River Stages gravel rally - upstate NY

I wanted to let you all know that I have entered my e30 in this rally. Should be a blast! End of Sept in upstate NY.

    check this link for details...
    Black River Stages

If you want to come spectate or volunteer for the event all info is there.

Best way to see the event is to volunteer to work. Without volunteers, we would not be able to have a rally without volunteers!!!

Hope to see some BMW supporters out there! Be sure to stop by our service area if you make it to the event!

I'll be up there Saturday, hate having the first day on a Friday when you lose 1/4 of the field. I won't be volunteering this year but I agree that it is the best way see the event plus the party at the end ain't bad.

Hopefully the drunk locals don't do really stupid shit by the jump again and get the stage cancelled.

I'll be there crewing for Bill Doyle and his Cage This monster E30 (cagethis.com). I'd pilot my own, but I'm fresh out of cash after NEFR.

I've heard many a great things about BRS, particularly the smooth roads (as compared to Maine).

Good luck and hope to see you there!

I agree, it looks to be a great event! I'm looking forward to seeing the SlapDash/CageThis e30. Sounds like quite a vehicle.

The Slapdash and Cage This rigs are actually separate cars. Bill Doyle built my cage, skid plates, light bars and a bunch of other stuff. We were trying to make it as a team, but I ran out of cash after NEFR.

Here are a couple o' pics, courtesy of Pete Kuncis at onalimbracing.com and Flagworld.com. Black car is Bill's, white is mine.

Very cool, sorry for the confusion. Great to see so many E30's in the dirt.

Yes, it would be a fine day if we could all descend on a rally at once running E30s.

Including yours, I know of at least three 'local' rally E30s, plus a few in the building stages.

                Got pics of your machine?

                    It's a bring-a-Hefty-bag-so-you-don't-stain-your-seat rally.

Thanks SkinnyVT and SlapDash! Yes, mrsleeve, there is no "too fast" in this rally! Faster is better as long as you finish. Check out this in-car video from the Goose Pond stage last year. Jumps galore!

Go sign-up to volunteer now!! You won't regret it.

I have a couple of pics of my car in my albums. Nothing too exciting yet.

See you all there! Find me at service, #85, Steve Jackson.

                          Hey I know that car!

I went to Ty's house to take pictures and chat rally when I first got my car. He's an interesting cat.

Pete Kuncis has a bunch of cool shots of it in action too. If you're unfamiliar, it's onalimbracing.com, go to the gallery section, and look up the Rally New Yorks from a few years ago. Good stuff.

Good luck and we'll see you there!
