      You can get sliders also for a fixed front window

        when building my car i was also told that lexan would be a good route for weight savings. But first have you ever driven a car with molded lexan. check it out you'll change your mind.

          MA Shaw had some sort of lexan front windshield a while back. not reccomended for street use.

          but yeah, this is pretty silly. you realize a custom molded front windshield is going to cost a fortune, right? I'd rather spend that money on a CF hood. Plastic windows are a wear item - they'll either yellow with UV exposure if they're the scratch resistant kind, or they'll scratch and pit if they're not.

            A friend has a 2011 R8 which came with lexan/makrolon/NOTGLASS windows, after seeing him about go nuts and replace the side windows 3 times trying to get an unscratched set installed, you couldn't make me want that b/s on a street car.

            If your actually building a racecar, you remove the windows AND the seals and rivet in aluminum "L" supports and your new lightweight windows.
