Is anyone planning on doing any more events in 2005? If so when and where? I think the rest of the guys that I go with are done for the season but I would like to squeeze one more in. Anyone up for Barber or VIR next month? There is a PCA event at Roebling next month for all southeast people.....

I'll take Track days/Driving schools any day over AutoX. AutoX is fun, but I like to go faster and actually have room to make a good line down a track. In autox you just have to make the best of the space avilable.
I still think that Autox is a great experience and it gets very competative and fun. You should definatly try one.
I like it when not too many people show up, then we have less standing around and more drving fun. For example, last autox there were 16 people, and by 2 o'clock we were doing "instructional" or "fun" runs.

I had planned on going down to Barber again late Nov., but after seeing Traquests price ($650!), I've decided to pass since that will be a lot of beer.
The plan now is to either go a week earlier with the Sunshine bmwcca chapter or try out VIR a week later.

I'm getting in one more HPDE at Thunderhill Raceway on Nov. 11th. Running with a group called Unlimited Laps. The turn-outs with this bunch are a decent size....never a cluster-fuck on the track. The organizers have a spotless safety record. 5+ years of events and not a single accident.
Forecast for next Friday looks good. Mostly clear with temps around 70. Should be a good day overall.
