This came up quick, as I was thinking about taking a season off since I haven't done all the things I wanted to do in time. Ended up putting the old race tires back on, among a few other maintanance items and came out on saturday. We got lots more competition this season in SM, a couple fast guys from BA moved to SM from SMF class after installing superchargers on their civic hatches, also an Evo joined us as well.
What can I say, old 225s were not playing in my favor vs guys running 275s on even civics and even wider on evo... FML
Running stock dme currently as I needed to run the car through smog, and that also made it worse. Had to shift up to 3rd, and after 2 runs started getting fuel starvation/cut off with 1/2 a tank of gas.
To make things even worse? I got pulled over just leaving autocross event by CHP for my expired tags. Reg is paid, car is insured but since the tags aren't current = can tow the car. Got lucky with a fix it ticket though.
Sunday I didn't take a chance again, and instead took a 540/6spd out to just have a few runs to keep the attendance at 100% basically.
Upgrade is coming up for the next rounds, no way around that.
