    does Auto/X require SA ratings on helmets?

    I have a v nice open face used.........but its SA 95......is that cool for Auto/X...?
    I love sitting down and just driving!

    The local auto cross out my way, don't think it is SCCA affiliated, only require SA85. The local BMWCCA chapter requires the latest and greatest.

    Therefore: it depends.

      depends on your autox group.. most will require at least SA95 (10 years old or newer is the general rule of thumb). you should be fine, but you should contact them or check their rules (almost all clubs post their rules on their website).

        NWR requires a M90 (soon to be 95) rating or better.

          Locally we enforce "current plus last two ratings" so... M/SA95-2000-2005.

            For the record, most of the larger SCCA regional chapters are going SA00 or better. Ohio Valley has done that for this year.
