    Low seat options

So I am a pretty tall dude. I fit in the car ok under normal circumstances, but there is really no way for me to be comfortable with a helmet on because I don't have enough headroom. I am curious if anyone else has this problem and if they have a solution. Can you modify the seat rails? Is there an aftermarket seat with a lot of height options?

VAC floor mounts....then use a side mount seat

or..Massive sells seat adaptors w/ a lower ht.
I love sitting down and just driving!

most fixed back seats will be able to be mounted low enough so that they work well. I'm 6'1" and I could go another 4 inches lower with Momo seat brackets (they're static).

Depends on what you're looking for, but if you want to do a static setup you will have plenty of configuration options.

Do those floor mounts work with stock seats?

Why the hell would you want after market floor mounts on stock seats? That would give you less room than if you just had a stock seat.

LOL Touche. Should have thought about my question more before saying it. Guess it would have to be something that removes the whole linkage system under the seat itself, but then the seat base has nothing to mount to.

I was basically asking if there was any way to lower a stock seat, since I like being able to drive my car long-er distances. That would be a no. haha

You can lower the seat ~1/4" by taking the four mounting pads off of the bottom of the seat rail, but you need to add some sort of smaller spacer and cut the carpet out from under the rails for them to still work.

+1 on the VAC mounts, I'm 5'11 (not all that tall) but I've got a Sabelt Taurus XL on side mounts and you sit very low, I can put my helmet on in the car without even getting close to the halo bars in the rollcage...

I use a cobra Imola pro seat, cobra side mounts, sliders I got from Sube sports. Made some custom mounts for sliders to oem seat location. Have about 7/8 to 1" of room between bottom of seat rail and floor of car(no carpet) i'am also about 6' 1" with helmet on I got a couple of inches of roof clearance. no sun roof or roll cage.

This is the solution I came up with to get me as low as possible in the car, while still utilizing the bottom cushion( I'm 6'1). The bottom seat cushion in the Sparco Circuit seat I use provides great leg support, so I really didn't want to run without it.

Similar to the VAC mounts, just a lot more cost effective for me.

I had four brackets made that bolt straight to to floor and then to the sides of the seat.I cant even get my hand under my seat.
