    Vanos bolts come loose?

In the middle of an autocross run, my engine (S50) suddenly lost a large amount of power. It seems to run smoothly. It just doesn't seem to have the snap that it did before. Has anyone ever experienced their vanos bolts coming loose and changing the cam timing? That about the only explanation I have come up with for the way the engine runs.

the cam timing changes even with the bolts tight.

doubt they would be coming loose as im sure some good amount of damage would occur when it happens.

but only delt with cam timing chains, sprockets, and vanos once when i did a mls head gasket swap on my s50.
