Think you might have a rounding error there or we might have to protest the value of your car.

Funny that all of those cars in that photo had PRO3 drivers on the team. I think that was the end of my stint (in the red #78 rx7.) One thing to keep in mind, next year the new swap formula goes in to affect, and the are being pricks about engine swaps (even if its an engine that was OEM to the car..)

And Beagle's car is too pretty for Chumpcar, hell it's cleaner than my PRO3 car!

Here is what a real chump/lemons e30 looks like.. You make it look like something else. Yes we did run a M30 in it at VIR a few months ago - 0 laps :)
Bought real Skoda badges that fit all of the BMW spots perfectly including the steering wheel.. To the untrained eye we get many guesses but never a e30..

Getting ready for CMP this weekend.

Every ChumpCar race I laugh at the large amount of conference icscc drivers at it. You can certainly tell who you are going wheel to wheel with just by driving that's for sure.

Did you guys run the Mad Max E30 with an M30 at VIR? We were there with our E30, which blew out both side of the block and the oil pan around 11:15. I was asking questions about the swapping on an M30 on the Chump forum John got his panties all in a wad. Just curious as to how the M30 performed?

                Best,

                Justin

I agree completely. Here is our 98 S500, with a few body mods...

Lemon's != Chump.. there is definitely two very different schools of thought in the two series.

Lemons is more about theatrics and team themes. Chump is more or less a cheaper form of ICSCC/NASA/SCCA club racing.. Not saying which is better, but most (not all) Chump car's are not that far removed from their respective club racing classes. There is some standouts that are actually built with the idea of theme's (The Rolls E30, GISHO, the Alpino..etc) but you are not going to see some of the stuff you see in Lemon's running (chassis with a Travel trailer on top, or that one done up like a pirate ship.)

Here in the PNW, there doesn't seem to be the same goofiness that you see in other parts of the country for some reason. Not that we don't have fun, but it's just not the same approach as other areas.

I did my first chump car race 2 weeks ago and I gotta say, it was a freakin' blast. It was like racing in HPDE 1. Drivers were pretty raw, but fun. It was more or less a game of how many turns does it take to get in the head of the driver ahead of you and make him commit a forced error.

Now, I want to build a Rabbit diesel...never have to pit, but then again, will be passed by the same car 2 times on each lap.

                      I HIGHLY recommend it.
