And yes, there are dicks here. Its part of the charm. If you want a lovefest or a hug, especially from the turbo guys, hang at e30tech.

Not saying you aren't welcome here - just learn to take some shit.
+1, to all of this post

argue as much as you want that a dragstrip is also a track, but the track and auto-x section is intended for roadcourses and/or parking lots. you'd get a similar response in bf.c's section of the same name.

if you want your balls licked for your turbo, stay on e30tech, or log onto dtmpower.net. have a nice day. ;)

If it's intended for track adn auto-x, then y isn't it labeled that way? Not saying your wrong, just noting that it says closed circuit activities, a dragstrip is a closed course, granted it is a straight line, but still is closed course.

an enclosed straight line isn't a circuit, is it?

as on bf.c, most dragging and things solely linked to power end up in the forced induction or swap sections, not a section entitled as for track and auto-x. in this section suspension, tires, and driving ability take priority, not power or acceleration.

        for example, http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=59230

true, a dragstrip is not a circuit
here's also one on dragracing in the track section

I know it's from way abck when, but if you haven't noticed, the m42 is only under other. Yes he could have put it under one of the turbo pages, but you'll have to take that up with him. Don't speak about drag racing w/o knowing about it. Dragracing does need a suspenion and tires and if you didn't have them you wouldn't grip the track, once you do get going into the higher clases, there's an ass load of skill, maybe it's just not the style you like, but their is. If you wnt to get technical about circuit, you'd also notice that under the forced induction and swap section, has nothing even close to racing, only swapping. People post in there because of the power, probably why they swapped or turbo'd in the first place and drag racing is a great way to show your power. You might want to look at the other things before you make a judgement about where something belongs on the site. If they truely don't belong there, then the Moderators can move it.

so you found one example of talking about drag racing in this entire section? and a very inactive thread at that....?

i just know what works well at bimmerforums....well, when it is up. and that it seems a bit out of place here.

Wow, uber-edit. I guess I don't have to proove Jordan's edit then... If Jordan calls me a waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles and mentions Jesus in the next post, he's probably gay.

Yea, different strokes. Drag racing takes the least time commitment besides building the car. I spent a couple hours one night after work, and that was way more than the spare time I had. I plan on auto xing this spring if my schedule allows. I usually race dirtbikes on the weekends though.
