    Gary,

I currently autox with a small local club...just a handful of classes... I will be in what we consider "Prepared Sedan"... pretty open mods allowed..with the restriction of "DOT" tires.

As far as the booster is concerned, I have gone the e21 route with an upgraded M3 brake cylinder.

Good to hear you won't be in SM. You'd get smoked.

I autox an s52 car that has had both stock e30 325 brakes and currently a BBK. The e36 325 setup should be plenty. The only reason I could see for the m3 brakes would be for track use, but if it's just autox and weekend then I don't really see the need for them.

Edit: Danny is right, you'd probably get smoked. Ask me how I know...

currently I am running my DD..a supercharged 330i ZHP.... got smoked this weekend, but thats because I am the weakest link...
When drove my e21 (with a m20 drivetrain) I was competitive, but that was 7 years ago and I haven't raced since it was towed off to the wreckers.......such a sad day..
Recently my wife has incouraged me to get back into autox...and I am not one to argue with my wife..

I couldn't tell you the exact caster specs off hand. They all very vastly. The upper stut mount caster adjustments will just fuck everything up more. This is coming from my personal experience. Caster adjustment is always best at the control arm.
Whatever you do 96+ m3 arms are required.

Im in the same boat as you...only I'm looking at more of a track/HPDE/auto-x build. From what I've researched, the stock rotor size of the E36 325i should be sufficient, its just the pads/cooling you should be more worried about (to reiterate what others have said here).

Is SM really too much for a swapped, gutted e30?

looks like the concensus is that the non-M e36 front brakes will provide the needed stopping force.

Now were to source 15x9 wheels in a 5x120 pattern???

Look at the end of the thread, he can get them in 5x120.

My apologize...I have to do something about my short attention span I guess.

That being said 3k for wheels is a little more than I would care to spend...

I have looked at 949racing wheels and they look great.. I may be missing something but they only list a 4x100 bolt pattern...
