I'm hopefully buying tires next week and need advice on the newest crop of track ready street rubber.
There is a large chance that I'll be doing a couple cold, wet track days up here. I don't want to have to dial my driving way down if the rain starts. I've done a few lapping days and a bunch of auto-x. I don't see me doing any auto-x, and if I do, I'm willing to give up some time if my tires are going to be better on the real track.
I'm running 17x8/17x9 staggered M-System wheels, Bilstein/H&R race and a stock M50tu. Looking for a 225/45R17. BFG rivals aren't available here yet, tried to order a set from work and parts guy couldn't find any suppliers that had even heard of them. I'm thinking the RS-3s, but would like to hear from someone with some experience what works well in the wet and cold conditions. Temps will range from 10-30 degrees Celsius when I'm on the track throughout the season. (50-85F)
