    Team Dynamics are a good cheap track wheel for E30's.

        After looking over the rules for street class, I don't see anyway to make an E30 competitive in that class even if you spent $25k+ Doing all the work yourself.

              I am running billy sports f/r .... ie 3 race springs f/r ....ei rear shock mounts/stocks up front.....ie 25mm f / 22mm r swaybars ... poly everything f & r .... ie front strut bar ..... 4 point chromemoly cage by concept II motorsports welded in / rear bars running down to rear shock towers with cross strut bar welded in ... stock brakes w/ate brake pads f/r .... ate super blue fluid..... ltw d-force wheels 15x7 .... nitto nto1's 205/50/15 or hartge wheels 16x7.5 hankook rs3 225/50/16 tires ....stock 2.5 m20 (i have a new (no regrind)272 cam to install w/hd rocker arms to install along w/shorty headers)... mark d chip w/17 lb injectors on 91 otc gas .... 4:10 lsd w/z3 m diff cover w/redline fluid... so far.8-) I can take you out at adams for a ride so you can see how it handles.

                  Buy this book and read this book, it is a bit old but the theory still is the same and will open your eyes to making your car handle.

                                Not much cheaper tire cost wise, less tire choice, and slow. Just do 15x8-9s. Cheap tires, light and good grip.
