H&R sport springs, and HD Billys are what I use. Don't want it too stiff, you need the weight transfer to steer. Coilovers for RallyX would be overkill, IMO.
Same here. Plus a 1" spacer in front. Stiff is the enemy of rallycross. Stage rally suspension is not what you want - they have the speed to compress stiff springs. Rallycross you don't really want to go stiffer than stock.

Concur on power as well. The cars that were top in our RWD classes were M42 and ETA e30s, and RX7s. I always say that over 180-200hp or so is only going to lose you time in rallycross. Or at least not gain you any.

Pretty sure irish44j and his friends all run M42's. You don't notice the buzziness because you are running at high revs all the time anyway.

      Enjoy
Me and one or two others. We also have to guys with B25s and a few with B27s, and some hybrids. It's not about power. It's about handling. The 4cyl cars have an advantage if you run on tight or technical courses because of the better weight distro. The 6cyl cars have an advantage on wide/open courses to some extent.

I'll note that I am chipped and I can run courses in 2nd gear with a 7k redline that I only hit occasionally (3.91 LSD). The M20 guys need to use 3rd and the ETA guys use 4th sometimes depending on the rear end they have.

we also have a 528e (with head swap) running. He finished 3rd in the MR standings (with about 15 cars in the class). Though he drove my car for his last 2 runs of the season after a stuck throttle and was about 3 seconds faster than the times he was doing in his own car. YMMV.

This has me thinking about keeping my 318...it's not selling anyway. Any idea when the next even will be?
