personally, I hate Konig.....lol....and is not 57.1 which I want.
I have known about JB for ever....its a great company..making really good wheels .
And it just seems like its hard to really get 9's to fit on a 225/50 w/o a lot of fender work , if at all...I dont want to run a 225/45....too short.I love sitting down and just driving!Comment

I know the 15x8 TRM wheels are readily available, and bolt directly on to our cars. They're also only about 14 lbs and track worthy (the 15x7 were designed for spec E30). Why pursue creating another option in that size?
I would LOVE to find a good solution for a 15x10 e30 fitment (meaning et0) that will clear both stock and big brakes. I already have 2 sets of high dollar wheels (15x10.5 Kodiaks, 15x10 Keizers) that don't require spacers to fit the car, running 275 Hoosiers. But I want to fit something else for local event use. I could live with 15x9 for local stuff, but I prefer to use the same size wheel as I normally would because it does change the handling.
For my purposes, I will never put on the 1"+ spacers that are required to run the Miata fitments in this size wheel--there's already enough stress on everything to with the monster rubber, and I have cracked the Keizers before.
This is on a '90 325i, built for DSP, placed in the trophies at SCCA nationals this year.Comment

More options are always nice....is one option enough?
..and I personally think the Jongbloed wheel is really a good looking wheel for street or trackI love sitting down and just driving!Comment

The TRMs have terrible quality control. There are numerous pics of the back of the spokes being as much as 1/16" different in clearance.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

I can understand a desire for better quality control, but my experience tells me that even the high dollar wheels still fail at it (see my broken Keizers, several friends broken CCWs) I would still be interested in another 15x10 option that would fit our cars. At 15 sets needed to make it a go (your quote early in the thread), why not see if there is enough interest to start it. I'd take 2 sets.Comment

the downside to fitting 225/50/15 is there are no sticky tires in that size unless you go straight to slicks, meanwhile there are several options in 225/45/15 that are in the ultra sticky street tire category

even a 15x9 track wheel in e30 fitment, I think theres a lot of guys here who could put that to use in STX locally.
I assume your e30 is the light blue one with Joefis aero? car looked awesome at the Toledo Pro solo! I was running the miata and wishing my e30 was ready.-Brad

How about less sarcasm and turning people away and more finding out if 15 sets is enough or if Jongbloed needs a larger commitment?-Brad

Bickering aside, since we all seem to be working towards the same goal of wider wheels for all.
Thus far I think the thread has established that very few people on r3v use the 6ul because the offsets are so bad for the e30. which I think after re-reading through this somewhat confusing thread for a 4th time is what Z31's main goal was?
So with that understanding I've created a new thread here, to help gauge the interest in a wide track fitment e30 specific wheel:
