especially when it's the days before, or day of an exam and i'm online to procrastinate (exam was tonight, so saturday, sunday, today were pretty procrastinative) i.e. curious about finding a better solution

i'm gonna nab NC325iC's cabby bar and crush and drill it at the machine shop my uncle accounts for or elsewhere, and put that on. hopefully i'll get the result i'm looking for

if not. 350-375-400 spring time + put the M3 tabs on since the struts will be out anyway, and yeah.

Well, if its not as productive, then do what you basically just said in a round about way. Apparently we are using deductive reasoning.
Go get some stiffer springs, or get some stiff as hell swaybars. Easy.

but i still want a decent street ride. hence complication. I'll try:

step 1: cabby bar cuz it's the cheapest and easiest.

step 2: better choice of front spring rates

step 3: m3-type link setup

step 4: marginally stiffer rear springs if necessary, or soften front bar, to re-balance

FWIW, IE Stage 3's w/Konis at 50% F/R still provide healthy oversteer when wanted. I definitely wouldn't say my car understeers.

See, you can install m3 tabs easily. Try the cabrio first, then try m3 links on the cabrio bar. Then try springs.

no one in the city will weld them on with strut inserts in, and removing the strut housings and shit requires either a second car or mooching rides which won't happen cuz any day i'm not up here at school, i'm interning, is the weekend, or i'm in mexico

why the hell not? I did mine with the struts in. Compared to welding roll cages, there is miles of room in there.

why is not running a rear swaybar not a solution? Does it not give you the desired end effect?
This whole discussion is stupid. Running no rear bar is a very good way to produce a great handling e30. If you still find you are oversteering, then install m3 links, or a cabrio bar, or even both. With all the slamming you do on this forum, you should know how to achieve the deisred effect.
Your solutions range from absolutely rediculous and expensive to cheap as hell. Why dont you just install m3 tabs and m3 links since you already have them, and then go to the track.

Unfortunately people like to go with the norm and not try a lot of different things. It's not going to cost anything to try. Great suggestion btw.
I don't run a rear bar on my Acura. yeah yeah, I know, it's going to understeer like crazy....well it doesn't in the dry even on the Acura.

Do you have an autocross class your trying to fit into or are you going to go out there NFT?

everything in this thread is legal for DSP, but i'm going to be far from caring how competitive it is

i'm just not satsified with its current setup. hopefully a cabby bar or something else can do the trick

I dont see why the tabs couldnt be welded on the car, just tack once on one side, then move to the other, and go back and forth. And put a blanket around the good stuff

You outta come down to Columbus to the shop where my car is right now. Those guys can weld wood to concrete if you bring them a correct rod. They have searched, but haven't found one for that application unfortunately...

I can even supply you with the strut housings for really cheap.
