    Shift light recommendations and pics

Can anyone recommend a shift light? Also pics of dashes with shift light locations requested

I use this in my SE30.
GlowShift Black & Blue LED Adjustable Shift Lights are Standalone Units for 4, 6 or 8 Cylinder Gas Engines that Can Be Set From 3,000 to 12,000 RPMs.

I have it mounted on top of the dash, just to the left of where the gauge cluster rises. It is cheap, adjustable and does exactly what you need it to.

I have one of these in my SE30/PRO3:

Find many great new & used options and get the best deals for Stewart Warner Performance 94DSWP Amber Ultra-Shift Light/Digital Tachometer New at the best online prices at eBay! Free shipping for many products!

Bright as hell, and the tach is kind of a cool feature. Have it mounted to the top of the dash above the steering wheel. I may move it, but you don't miss it that's for damn sure!

Not sure what happened, but last year the market got flooded with the Stewart Warner shift lights, and you can buy them all day long for $30. Good quality and build.

I have been using an Eliptech progressive shift light:

Mine is mounted on top of the dash and is easily visible.

I'll second the Shift-i / ecliptech units. Those things are great.

I should really source more of those since the last batch I bought sold really quick.

Ecliptech, mounted slightly off center because the steering wheel was blocking it. Love it.

                  Toby,

Eric Blois has one in his eta. It's actually really nice, but a little too spendy for my blood.

here's a better pic of the shift light

i have a ton of track photos of the car but i do not want to detract from the OP's topic. i never really documented the build of the car. however, if you get on honda-tech or k20a.org and search username "98specR" you'll find a bunch of my write-ups which include copious amounts of photos ;).

I had always wanted an M3 and after purchasing one in 2011 I was all in after that.

oh man, why'd you have to go and post that link? i just took to a trip down memory lane, haha.

here is a vid of the ishift in action; you only need to watch the first few seconds to get an idea of what it's like. 1:36 makes the vid relevant to the forum :-D.

interesting. I read the manual, and the setting up of it seem overly complicated. What was your opinion? You have to read the manual, and then use 3 buttons, and you have to read light flashes off the display to set the RPMs - as in 1 flash mean 1000 rpms, next light 2, means two-hundred, .. What was your opinion of the "interface"? OK? Decent? Or a PITA?
