Door Mirror RACING OPTIONS?

Hey guys, got a 91 318is strictly track car. We've lost the passenger side mirror glass twice, for what reason I have no clue (they just fall out). Anyways I'm stuck between another set of stockers, a DTM style, or staying with the stock frames and possibly going to a wide angle euro style glass (which I can't seem to verify that they make for those frames). Any help, advice, opinions is appreciated. BTW I have googled the hell out of this already, just cant get definitive answers of what fits. Thanks, in advance.

Duct tape reinforced stock mirror, works like a charm =)

Convex is the way to go.

I wish I had a better picture (look at the doors to the left in the second pic). We put simple convex mirrors on a home made small bracket and made a cone shaped surround out of tape for our Chump car. It worked really well in conjunction with our wide angle rear view mirror, and is crypto aerodynamic.

It was just regular racers tape, left over from a rookie season. Since it held up at Daytona @142mph I imagine it will work most anywhere!

They're terrific.

Yes. Still street registered.

Not at all. Great field of view. Just a bit of a pain to adjust.

No. They're very stable once you tighten the bolts.
