cordless impact wrench for the track

What power cordless impact wrench are people using at the track to do up lug nuts?

Looking for something to loosen and initially tighten lug nuts, prior to tightening with a torque wrench.

I have a Milwaukee 3/8 and it's awesome. It can adjust between three different torque settings(30/75/200ft. lbs.), which comes in really handy. The batteries also last forever.

I'm very happy with my Makita 1/2" & 3/8" impacts. Any name brand will do what you want.

Milwaukee has some of the best impacts on the market right now with their "fuel" line. I have the older milwaukee 1/2" (450ft-bs) and 3/8" and they're awesome. Not too expensive, Batteries last long, tough, huge range of tools that all work with the M18 batteries. I'm a bit biased though since i've always owned milwaukee tools.

I have a 1/2" DeWalt 20v that I really like. Not particularly expensive and does everything I ask of it.

I also have the 1/2" Craftsman C3. It's very hard to beat for the money. Yes, a Snap On, Milwaukee, etc... will have more torque, but for lug nut and even occasional heavy duty use (suspension parts, etc...), it's hard to beat the C3 for the money. I take it with me to the junkyards, and haven't found anything that it can't break loose yet. It's also smaller/lighter than a lot of 1/2" impacts, so it fits in tight areas. The things it probably won't break loose, such as axle nuts and crankshaft bolts, I use an air impact for. And it's unlikely any affordable cordless impact would break those things loose.

This one. It's perfect for track/shop/yard use and and won't break the bank.
