What rotors are yall using on the street kit?...1 pc....

I just read how brembo and even ate, may have design flaws leading to issues w/ track use?

    .....hmmmm...

possible failure where hat is attached to outer ring?..

my RB's cracked after 2 yrs( not at hub area)....and RB no longer even makes them..1 or 2 pc.....

we've put probably 40 hours of endurance racing on stock-replacement duralast rotors and they didn't do that.

          on the massive street kit?......hmm..

(my research reveals brembo and perhaps even ate have cut outs in the hub./welded area...and meyle for instance does not..)

stop tech told me the rotor is a 1 pc cast....

ok.....nobody is saying we guys are doing this..lol.....that pic was just a look see on what has happened to some w/ that rotor.( that is not a massive bmw set up either..it just represents a corrado rotor)

Ive just read how there may be a design flaw on the brembo , and perhaps ate rotors for the Corrado 1 pc rotor set up.........

Two totally different cars. I got stock brembo rotors and love them. Also got stock bav auto sport rotors and those aren't bad either.

Agree, that pic in the lead is nuts, maybe it has to do with pad choice?

Even so, we have had no issues with Brembo blanks in Chump racing. Do they develop small cracks, sure, does that make them useless, hell no. Of course we change them after each event, so don't expect more than 24 hours from a set of rotors, and even that is asking a lot. Granted this is with M42 power, and of course more HP may equal more HP stopping from the brakes.

Don't over think it, and if you really think that cracking is going to be an issue you need to concentrate on brake cooling/pad choice and probably not so much on metallurgy which is something mfrs will probably not disclose.

hey fellas.....all responses are appreciated but u may be missing the point.

There have been a few issues w/ brembo and ate re rotors cracking/failing on CORRADO replacement rotors....

its not related to brembo or ate on any other applications.

I ran both brands on oe e 30 set ups for years and loved them!...

Im asking re corrado application which in this scenario is used on a bbk

                      back to normal programming.

Also duct the brakes to keep the heat down.

                              D....

I like the 2 pc idea..but this kit w/ its 12mm pad, I just think its not worth the costs...I rather just put more cash into the massive sport kit.
