He's excited there is a 225 out that may fit well.

So there's an advantage to running a 225/45 as opposed to a 225/50 on our cars?

nah, they've been MIA in America... until now.

          225/50s are there too.

Interesting reading the posts in the SCCA site saying the 225's aren't much wider than the 205's. Nice to see another option though in 15's.

              205/50R15 Azenis (6.5" rim) diameter 23.2" ... section width 8.7" ... tread width 7.6" ... RPM 895

              205/50R15 Z212s (6.5" rim) diameter 23.1" ... section width 8.4" ... tread width 7.2" ... RPM 899

              225/45R15 Z212s (7.5" rim) diameter 23.0" ... section width 8.9" ... tread width 8.0" ... RPM 903

              225/50R15 Z212s (7.0" rim) diameter 23.9 ... section width 9.2" ... tread width 8.0" ... RPM 869

LOL, that is hilarious. On an equal rim, the 225/45 Z212 is only 0.1" wider than the 205/50 Z212. And technically 0.2" narrower than the 205/50 Azenis!

That said, the 225/50's are beastly. That's about the widest 225 out there, save for S-03's. Those should just barely work with Ronals, for those curious.

yes, the Azenis is as wide (or wider section width on an equal rim) as the Z211 hankook R compound!

damn, and i thought my z212s 215/45-16 seemed kinda wide for their size.

good thing i didn't get the Azenis i had on order, i rubbed enough with these.

anyone put the 225/50/15 rs2s on euroweaves yet?

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

Even if he doesn't report back, they will 100% fit fine, as long as your struts are straight.
