    Dodge SRT4:
    F - Independent MacPherson strut / R - Independent multilink
or is it? F independent MacPherson strut / R independent Chapman strut? I've seen both

    2000 Dodge Neon
four wheel independent suspension using MacPherson struts front / Chapman struts with links in the rear

    1995 neon: macpherson F / multilink rear

2003 Celica: MacPherson struts front / double wishbone coil spring rear

90-93 Celica GT4: Front: Independent McPherson struts / Rear: Independent Independent McPherson struts, longitudinal arm.

1983 Toyota Celica GT-S: Layout: Front Engine / Rear Drive
Front: MacPherson Struts, / Rear : Semi-Trailing Arms

6th gen Celica (94-99): MacPherson struts up front / Chapman struts in the rear.

The 2005 Mustangs - lightweight cast-aluminum front control arms and coil-over MacPherson struts / retains the familiar “live axle” non-independent rear suspension with coil springs and shocks, which helps keep the ’Stang’s cost in check.

Actually.... they have. Never made it to the states though and in Japan its sort of like an e30 having a glass moonroof. It was some crazy, rare, factory option.

And no... I am not talking about a hardtop.

One thing I really never understood in regards to rear suspension design was the M coupe. As far as I understand it uses a somewhat similar design to the e30 and yet it is considered one of BMWs finest handling cars. Are the other merits of the car that good to make up for the rear suspensions shortcomings? or did the engineers find a way to modify the design to make it even better than the multilink rear on the e36 m3?
