    track day oil consumption

After my last track event, the oil level was at the lowest mark by the end of the 4th session (20-25 minutes each). it was topped off so Im assuming its 1 quart from the high to low marks on the dip stick that was burned/lost. I don't have any crazy oil leaks that make it to the ground when parked. The weather that day was 90 deg + which Im sure made a difference. I don't drive the car much on the street but haven't noticed much oil loss or smoke out of the tail pipe when I do.

What is considered normal oil consumption? Do you often top off between sessions?

    Thanks

I (and most PRO3 owners) will usually run almost a quart over during the weekend. It's not unusual to lose a measurable amount of oil during a track day or sprint race weekend.

With a high mileage motor, it's not hard to believe consuming more.

I lose oil pressure if the level's not over the TOP mark when I come in.

But I don't tend to burn/dump/use more than a half- pint a weekend.
