I was driving on a 2 lane highway once, going about 70, a semi was coming toward me at about 55. It spit up a rock and hit the B pillar next to my ear when the window was down (125 mph), that was loud as sh*t! Found the rock in the back seat, about the size of a penny. Think I'll be getting a full-face for sure.

    Oakleys don't shatter 8)
But ya, I agree, not good to skimp on safety items, that's why I have the Schroth 4-point harnesses for autocrossing. But an SA2000 rating is an SA2000 rating, right? ;)

You take whatever chances you're happy with -- me, I'm paying the $35 for a smoked shield and leaving the glasses in my bag.

Yeah - SA2000 full face of any kind, and you'll be money.

      Have a good one,

call me cheap, but do I have any options for around $100? it would only be for autocross use, so having full-face protection isn't really neccesary. I just hate having to borrow a helmet!
