xLibelle - now that's better! I am seeing these 15 second passes and having drawbacks to when civics were drag racing and braking into 16s and 15s like 5-8 years ago lol
Is it difficult to get a good 60' in e30 (ie. 1.7 or so) ?Mtech1 v8 build thread - https://www.r3vlimited.com/board/sho...d.php?t=413205

well since it was my first time and a relatively new car i had to figure out when to let off the clutch due to the crucial wheel hop i was getting but its possibleComment

when i think of slicks i'm talking MT E/T streets. although Nitto might have a 555R in a 14 or 15" nowadays these can be driven on to the track. BFG also has some nice drag radials.
put some super skinny tires on up front, and the grippiest you can get in the back.Comment

You forget these cars are 20 years old.
Yes a good 60' is possible, around 1.9-2.0 is pretty easy to get with a good launch and well prepped track. I had cut several of those on stock weaves/street tires with my stock motored M3. However, a 1.7 would take alot more power than what most stockish E30 motors are making.

7 series rear end
yea the guy who "built" my car said he put in a 7 series rear diff. but i cant prove that it is. it looks different than my old 87 325e's diff so i dont kno. i think the gearing might be 3.15 or 3.45 ...not sure. more info when i get a hold of himComment

is there no tag on the diff itself to clue you in on the gearing? My 2.9L Build!
