I had above 1/2 a tank during the whole event so this is ruled out...infact i filled up on 93 just before we started. I've always had a whiny fuel pump but idk if that's the problem since it survived multiple events and multiple 200mi+ hwy trips between 3500-4500rpm. How can i check. our cars have FPR's right? where is it and how can i check it?
the wiper situation was just becuase it was obstructing the camera's view since i mounted my 5mp digicam in between the headrest and the pass' seat and it help up untill the memory ran out! that last turn was 3rd gear btw *_*
open test and tune day. no class since its the first auto-x event i've been to
My wires are fine but i'll have to see about the relay sounds like wierd problem maybe if something was broken inside the relay

I think this is more of a problem on early cars (two pumps) than on later ones.. I've run mine down to the light during an autox and never had that happen.Leave a comment:

I've had this problem twice. One problem has a logical explanation, the other doesn't.
My coil pack bracket broke, the coil pack fell down and was swinging around, and the wire burned through against the exhaust manifold, and when it touched it (right hand turns) it grounded out and killed the power, felt like fuel starvation though).
The other was my fuel pump relay. Yes, believe it or not, when I made left hand turns, power cut out, and it was caused by the relay. I swapped it back and forth several times to make sure it wasn't a coincidence. I put a new one in, hasn't done it for 3+ years. I have no idea...Leave a comment:

Sounds like you are getting fuel starvation. Since the fuel pump is on the passenger side of the tank, you can get starvation on right turns if you are running too little gas. If you haven't already, try adding more fuel next time.

Car Dying on Right Turns
I've been having this problem for a while and cannot find out what it is...at first i though i was getting oil into my intake manifold (my ae86 had that problem) since there's a tube going to the manifold from the crankcase...then i though fuel pump? idk i changed the filter and there's a whiny noise when i drive the car hard. FPR? My sparks are fine and i'm pumping 89oct. I Need some suggestions we had an event today and there was not 1 run where this ddint' happen to me.
Basically when i go on a hard right turn, the car will bog, loose all power and eventually go again...here's an incar vid of today's event
