A couple pics from a local autocross event

The SM and XP BMW's normally don't come out here on a regular basis, in fact with the season approaching the mid-point this is the first time I've seen car 199 and 195 here locally . The usual crew in SM here is a mk4 gti apr stage 3 (just switched to 255 17" tires all the way around) driven by a local buddy (with a co-driver), his friend in an audi tt 1.8t (on victoracer tires), a 2nd gen turbo integra (trailer car), e30 m3 or 2, co-worker of mine who is just starting out with his built crx (but he really is in SM2 as it's a 2seater) (just picked up a set of rt615s), a 3rd gen integra, a mustang, miata and a couple others.

My car really doesn't fit any other class right now (I can't run in FSP due to the drum to disc swap for example) and I am really just doing this for fun and comparing my times against other low hp cars such as miatas for example and consistent drivers to see if I am improving. I know my car is WAY under powered for this class, but for the next season it should be a little more competitive on a local level with more power ;)

wow, I would NOT want to try to be competitive at one of your autocrosses. I mean it's fun and all, but if I had the money to build a car like that I wouldn't be doing autox to begin with...

What the hell? That's like coolest autocross ever. We never have any cool cars at our autocrosses. Best we get is some C5 vettes and maybe an e46 m3.

I ran in the SM group in the e30 with the least hp out of all cars ;) I'll have to wait for the results to post in about a week or two. Car handled well, not too much oversteer but deff. needs more power. I ended up beating a couple of cars in my class so car is working ok, no problems this time.
