Need help picking out 6 pt harness

I got an Auto Power 4 point bolt in roll bar, with removable cross bar/harness bars. I need to pick out a set of 6 pt harnesses for it. I guess camlock is the way to go? What about the bolt in or strap in? Don't I want to wrap it around the harness bar, and bolt the bottom 4 belts to the floor? If I get the bolt in, how will I attach it to the bar? If I get the strap in, how will I attach the bottom straps?

    I'm using stock sport seats.

Does anyone have a good recommendation for $100-$150 per side? I'd prefer red.

You're probably looking at G-Force camlock belts in that range. Go to www.racerwholesale.com

Gforce six point PULL DOWN cam locks are your only real choice. The best news is that they are FIA rated and thus good for 5 years.

OK. But what about the bolt in/strap in thing?

I have no idea what that means.

I've searched bimmerforums and can't come up with the answer to my question.

With most any harness set there will be enough length to the shoulder straps to allow them the be wraped around the harness bar and secured with the adjuster buckle. Alternative mounts for those are to have tabs welded to the harness bar to accept bolts, or to route the straps over the bar and down to reinforced tabs on the floor.

The rear seat attach points are reinforced and suitable locations for mounting the lap belt. I don't know know what you'd have to do for that when using a stock seat. The usual method when using a race shell is to replace the bolts with eye-bolts or add mounting points to the rear of the seat adapter.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Not sure what you mean by the rear seat mount points. Can't I just bolt the lap/sub belts to the old seat belt receptacle bolt, and the identical bolt on the other side of the seat?

you want to have the belts secured to the chassis, not the seat. Therefore the seat wont take the stresses in a wreck.

OK, so where exactly are the ideal attachment points for both driver and passenger sides, for the lap and sub belts? I am ordering the G-Force 6 point cam lock pull down harnesses. Do I need to order additional hardware for installation if I'm going to mount it to the chassis?

Looking closer at the harness, it looks like it comes with end plates that have a hole drilled in them. All installations I've seen have those snap hooks that you can attach to an eye bolt, which you can bolt into the chassis at a reinforced spot. What is the proper way to mount the G-Force harness, with those bolt ends? Or would it be better to just buy a bunch of those snap hooks and use those?

Ideal way to do it is with eye hooks bolted through the chassis with reinforcement plates. You can get the hooks and plates from Summit Racing, they are G-Force brand - I got them when I got my five points.

I am getting the 6 points now and will be doing the clip in hooks.

As far as location, look at the G-Force installation manual. If you cant find that, I know HMS has the Schroth one on their website and it should be about the same.

OK Great. So the last thing then, is should I be ordering those snap hooks too? How would I install the harnesses with the plates that just have a hole in them (the ones in the pictures)?

The snap hooks http://www.racerwholesale.com/produc...roducts_id=183 can be put on the belts in place of the bolt in ends. Just make sure you order the correct size.

Yeah, I just needed to know if the belts came with those snap hooks or the plates with a hole drilled in them. I don't want to order them if the belts come with them. And if it's just as easy to mount them with the hardware they come with, I will do that, I just need to know how.
