No Turbo is not allowed, you are limited to certain engine modifications

Here is the rulebook. Best get familiar with it before deciding on a class.

I know I am bringing this back from the dead, but I was wondering has anyone ever tried to do any aero work on the e30 for autox?
    Maybe a nascar style spoiler?

no, jus telling DSP74 that weve heard enough about his purchases and big plans, but not enough about how his car actually runs. times and such.

Sorry Garrick, but its rare that i get to do this.

    This past weekends OVR event.

    Garrick : 41.122
    Me : 40.914

My car is a '91 318is with a relativly stock M42 [chip, flywheel]. 5 year old bilstein sports, H&R race springs, vorshlag camber plates, Cabrio front bar [21mm] attached to the strut, ST rear bar, set to full stiff, Hawk HP4+ pads, stock rotors, 225/50-14 Hoosier A3S05's with many a heat cycle on them.

So get the back end around i set the pressures up real fun like. 30-32 front, 40 rear. Makes the back end come around on a car with no torque its name.

Cliff notes: It isnt about what you throw at it, its about how you drive it. Get out there and drive that damn DSP car!

I take it you're against cheaper steel wheel options obviously?

I have a local CSP Miata duo that have switched back to 13" wheels so will be unloading a set of 15x10 steel wheels and 15x10" bogarts. They're speced for a Miata (4x100 and higher offset) so would require spacers.

I'm probably going to pick up the steelies... but the bogarts (although sexy) are out of my price range.

Looks pretty good. The fronts are cake compared to those back fenders :) Having to weld the layers back together is so much fun.
I'm assuming you have the wheels you are going to run so you can make sure you flare it enough? Judging on how much you've researched you have.
I remember the first time I backed up and tried to turn and realize oops needed another 2" taken off the front wasn't cool. Its amazing how much needs cut out to fit the big tires. I needed to chop the bumpers pretty much just to the rear mounting brackets in order not to hit. Also removing the horns and other junk to keep from hitting it. Of course 15s are a tad shorter so might avoid that but its gonna be close.
