I'll start of saying that I am not as versed as you all, but would like to contribue from my experience/progression. '90 325i 2dr s52/260getrag 3.73lsd
Setup (autoX / trackday) - Starting point: gc 475lbs f, 625lbs r, no camber plates, stock sways and worn hardware, bilstien sports, rota slipstreams 225/15 es100s. Autox for about a year on this setup.
Read about rear sway removal, gave it a shot - noticed immediately that the rear felt more planted and predictable. About 3months on this on both es100s and v710s.
Current setup - new oem front sway bar bushings, m3 sway end links, rear shocks changed to koni sa one click off full hard, bmp poly rsm's, tires permanently changed to 225/15 v710s. OH MY GOD, the difference is night and day. Car feels glued to the ground, the rear is even more predictable. A friend co-drove my car on track day, so I got the chance to see how it acted, I plan to go up 50-100lbs f&r in rates, koni's for the front, and camber plates in front (I'm solid ajustable subframe in the rear). I believe that will take care of the minimal squat, dive, and roll that I saw/felt.
