I really don't think tearing down and rebuilding a LSD would be tough at all. And there are parts available to do some mods while your in there, most importantly changing the ramp angles.......Fuck welding the diff.
What do you care if i WANT a welded diff ? It was the Cheapest and easiest route available for me. All the reasons people mentioned for not going welded made me want a welded diff even more.
Because welded diffs are retarded. They promote understeer, which is the opposite of drifting. A limited slip differential will allow the car to initiate a turn and then apply power to both wheels when you add throttle, which if you know what you're doing certainly sounds like a drift to me...
Thanks, i just picked up an open 3.73 for 80 dollars and im gonna have it welded. Can always throw the 2.93 back in for winters.
