I'm looking at the X5 3.0 lever, will that safely let me hit 8700?

I'm sure he could get something together that would be a great asset to the e30 community.

There was a e30 m3 out there with me and his rods were knocking when he pulled off the track and he had an hr drive home, wonder if he made it.

Yeah, id like to find a new diff or just weld mine. I have 205 in back on bottle caps and 205 azenis up front on 16X8 maxxs. I seemed to have plenty of torque to break them loose but by the time the slide was over i wasn't moving to fast. Still not going as fast as i need to either cause im just not comfortable going over 40-45 at this particular track.

Yeah... Louis, the French people would really like to thank you for your services but it just not working out so we're going to go a different direction...

Is there a automatic shifter that will gain me more rpm's with my 3.73 open diff ?

Only with a derlin carrier bushing installed upside down.

LOL! nice, i'm glad y'all having fun with that post; it was there for a purpose, ;-) come on doggies! we all know what the only difference between a stock shifter and a short shifter is, right? if not, then the difference is the time that it takes to travel from one gear to another, thus, short shifter, :drink:

i can't believe y'all fell for that, haha... BUT I see how serious some people here take me now, lol. the purpose of that post was to see who was going to be ganging up on me, so thanks guys for showing who you are, ;-); I got my eyes on y'all; interesting psychological trip, eh? lol

Well this thread got me thinking...... I know there are a few on R3v that have been doing big block Chevy motor swaps on here. As I was thinking and correct me if Im wrong, but if I were to head to Chevy and pick up a new Z06 shifter and use the 540I bushing I should be able to get it to work. I have a 3.73lsd and a 2.7l E motor. Doing the math I should be able to turn out about 8000rpm and with the displacement an extra 40 wheel horse power. I would have to contact Mark D to see if he could build me a custom chip that would change cam timing at higher RPMs so I would not scatter the engine. I feel that would net me a total of 210 whp. Erick, watch out, Mtech 2 going to be coming at you next drift event.

Also with the 540i bushing and the shifter it would give me some more clearance under the trans to run a full duel exhaust system. I could build a custom H pipe setup and that should yield a few more horses!

Anyone know how I can contact Mark D for this software?
