Funny you guys mention all these things. I do wheel at the badlands, and haven't been to redbird, but have wheeled with it's owner. The badlands really is cool, but I miss TSF and PNW wheeling in general (NEVER thought I would miss the greenies).
Lately the cruiser has been relegated to the garage given it's gas mileage and my lack of tow rig. It's kind of at a bad state of build at the moment, sucks to drive to and from trails at this point.
I definitely would like to find myself back in portland after school, I KNOW I'll be back out west, even if I find myself flipping burgers and living in a box for a while hahah!
I'd love to wheel tellico at some point too, it's under a shitty amount of fire lately...

If I get another trail truck it'll be another samurai. The one I had got sold right away and never got to mess with it......
But you can't argue with a truck that can go almost anywhere, if built right and driven sensibly is plenty stout, and for me the best thing is it can be put on a small trailer and towed by damn near anything. You don't need a diesel and an ag trailer to tow it.sigpic

I regret the fact that I didn't build a sammy every time I think about it! I am definitely of the opinion that LIGHT IS GOOD, and despite the fact that I have yanked everything out of my cruiser that doesn't make it move, it is no sub 3k trail rig.
Swap some toy axles in, some t-case gears, and GO! Honestly as much as I really do love my FJ40, the biggest reason I won't part with it is that I'm too emotionally attached LOL!Comment

Yeah there is definitely something about cruisers that just make them awesome. So much character, and the community is awesome. I've taken mine so many places it should have never been, and my worst carnage has been a broken birf. It really does kinda amaze me!Comment
