Some quick notes, hope you don't mind...

Get a real helmet for racing next year.
Be careful about that "overhand right" grip you use for turn in on right hand turns (5:09), very jerky.

You are leaving WAY too much room on the track through T11, get in towards the apex, rimshots just get you passed.

On the back straight you can go MUCH deeper into the brake zone. I brake just inside of the 1 marker using the uphill to your advantage. With that being said turn in for T14 doesn't have to be fully track right. When done right you come in hot and kiss the left curbing at the apex and start pointing towards the apex. Watch any SE30 video for reference.

Stay left for a touch longer on the left hand curbs entering hogpen. The later turn in will let you get back on throttle much sooner, extending the straight. Remember that in these cars the most important thing you can do is to get on the gas ASAP.

I'm in 5th for the uphill esses.

So, I took part in one of the SCCA Cincy Region's "PDX" events today.

I take back anything bad I have ever said about NASA. The SCCA is amatuer hour personified. ZERO organization, no structure, no plan, almost embarassing.

Swing wild, brake later, don't apologize.

What do you expect? Cincy Region has as one of its big Kahuna OG leaders, a guy who killed a corner worker at Nelson Ledges. Depending on which version of the story you get, it was either driver error, or an unsafe car he was driving at the time . . .

I know a guy who was there yesterday and he was co-driving a fully race prepped car - with a Petty Bar and therefore no instructor - and it was his second day on track. His only experience was the same one day event last year. And he was told by the powers that be in advance he was going in the "advanced" group.

I know the guy, and he is a great guy, and may have some very good skills, but . . .
