I run the Momo tall egronomic on my short shift kit and have it screwed into the very top of the lever. It lets me spend less time reaching and more time caressing my steering wheel.

Aah. That's why those knobs are so tall..less of a reach.
Only thing bad about the weighted knob + Z4 shift lever that I have is that it is a long reach from the wheel to the shifter. It really isn't as bad as you'd think, but it is really short.
^^ I've got the Momo tall knob for the same reason. I'm using it with the Z3 shifter. The shifter is about the same height as the stock setup, but of course much shorter.

that's the jaffster knob. i have a stock M knob which works. OP, if you are new to de's, you have more things to worry about when on track than the distance to your knob :) don't worry about modding the car so much, spend the $$ on the driver.

True, but the knob on my car is literally disintegrating so I need to buy one anyway so might as well buy one that will work over the long haul, no? I don't like spending money 2x.
