    Shop in town quoted me between $30 and $50, more likely $30 ish though. Cheaper than buying the stuff from Summit, awesome.

    Just gotta buy the sender and bring the stuff in. I am stoked

    dill a hole in the hollow bolt that holds the filter adapter on the block. thread your sensor in there. No adapters required.

    since my pressure sensor also has a dummy light switch, I replaced my stock pressure switch with a temp sensor. goes right into the same location.

    Oil pressure you should be able to run something like what I posted they are electric as well - VDO most likely uses 1/8NPT threads, you'd just need to confirm that is the thread size.

    For oil temp, you'll want to run something in the oil pan or possibly at the cooler adapter. You need to make sure that sensor is in the flow of oil at all times. I have seen drain plug adapters, but am a bit wary about having something sticking out of the pan since they are already relatively low. Potential to use the oil level sender area instead.

    Here's what I have for my Chump Car. In hind-sight, I could have used an extra foot on the line length.

    Ends of the hose are AN fittings, with AN-> 1/8 NPT adapters.

    The T gets mounted to the frame-rail.

    I want to to run a oil pressure gauge from VDO, and mount the sender near the coil on the fender

    The oil pressure light is just one wire... and my VDO sender I ahve in mind has a 7.0 PSI contact for a oil light. Ill splice into my harness and just use the VDO's sender contact to power the stock Oil light

    I will use that autometer adapter to screw into the stock oil pressure sender location. Then the 1/8 NPT adapter will screw into that.

    Ill use one of the -4AN fittings to connect the SS hose from said fitting to the sender.

    What exactly are your plans? Adding a pressure sensor/sender in a remote location?

    If you want to use the bolt in the oil cooler adapter plate, 1st you'll need to tap the large stock 'bolt' (like the one iwantspeed posted) for the oil cooler plate, not a normal bolt (otherwise, you'll block flow of the oil). Then run you line off of that.

    if you can, find a hose end with a 1/8 NPT male (to go into the stock bolt you just tapped) and one with a 1/8 NPT female (for the sender to thread into); that'll make things so much easier with less fail points.



    For reference, I'm running a aftermarket oil pressure gauge AND a low pressure light off of the stock oil pressure location. System I have is set up like this:
    • M12x1.5 to 1/8 NPT adapter (like in your second post)
    • custom hose with 1/8 NPT ends (had this made for me)
    • 1/8 NPT T-fitting
    • pressure sender off of 1 T, low pressure switch off of the other T, both 1/8 NPT


    If you can find a local hydraulics shop, they should be able to make you what you need for a reasonable price.
