does the dunlop z1 not come in a good size at all? as it would run circles around both. -
I'm jumping on Rs2 i feel that the 3 will be more expensive esp at first. I'm running 215/45/16 now with falkens. What size rs2 should i get?Leave a comment:

Very interesting. I'm tempted to wait, but with the RS2s so cheap and actually availiable in a good size, I may jump for the 2s anyway.Leave a comment:

it's still a little wierd though.the only noteworthy change to production models is the orange flame on the tread, which will actually be molded into the tread on the production version and won’t be colored.Leave a comment:

The R-S2 had a great selection of sizes, so I'm holding out hope for the R-S3.Leave a comment:

R-S3 is due out this spring.
"As a successor to the track-proven Ventus R-S2 Z212, and compliment to the Ventus Z214 racing tires, Hankook Tire has applied its latest motorsports technology to improve dry-grip performance by 30 percent; further enhancing the tire’s handling capabilities. The profile has been developed to maximize the footprint contact patch. In addition, based on the great success in 2007-08 of Hankook DOT R Compound tires in competition, the compound technology responsible for winning on the track has been applied in the new Ventus R-S3."

I was at an all-day open track yesterday with a bunch of buddies. I'm on TR 15x8s with 205/50 Falken 615s. The car worked beautifully, and I'm really happy with the chassis. But I was a little disappointed with the tires. I've used them before on a different car, and I was expecting more grip. I don't know if they were just too new (3 weeks old, first real heat cycle), or if I need more section width. They were running at about 140 deg F on all 12 temps with nice smooth grip lines, but got a bit greasy after a few more violent laps, which I expected. Since I burned through half of the tread in a single day, I know it won't be long before I need another set. I think I'll try the RS2...Leave a comment:

k.. just got back. tires felt great.. though I think I can see where people say they have a softer sidewall. still, they stuck like glue.. gobs better than the BFGs I had on the other car. I wish I could provide more info but thats it..Leave a comment:
