Anyone try the Nitto NT-01 tire?

From what I've heard, they use a very similar compound to the RA-1, but have bigger blocks so you get less tread block squirm which = less heat, better wear, more grip etc. Also, the sidewalls are stiffer then the RA-1's.
A friend of mine uses them on a built SN95 Cobra. I've driven the car... the tires are great.

I have dried out RA1s on my 2002 racecar and will switch to Nittos as the R888 is wider than the Ra1s and won't fit anymore under my fenders...Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

i've have used 235/40/17 nt-01s, and they are awesome tires. Much better than the kook rss z211 tires I tried before them. The Nt-01s last a good while too.
I've run 3 sprint races and 100+ track miles on this set of nt01's, flipping them from inside-in to inside-out to wear them good...I've been using them on the SM car i'm using for licensing. They are pretty wasted by the, but they still got rubber which is what i needed, and decent grip.
Ill be using a set of r888s tommorow on that car.
wonder how those are gonna be
