how much can one expect to pay some one to weld the cage in for you if you buy a weld in kit? i have a friend that can weld but i have seen his work and frankly it sucks.

It looks like autopower has reduced the size of its base plates to accomodate stock shoulder belt mounting. Has anyone made their own plates and welded them in using an autopower kit?

Anything else out there besides AutoPower and VSR for bolt in?

TC Design did a custom well in roll bar for my M and it was 1k for everything. When you factor in labor and that it's all one piece with strong floor plates, I think it's cheaper then a bolt in kit.

yes. although you probably need to measure and modify a little to fit as with any kit. i heard the kirk kit is very similar too and priced similarly.

So, if somebody comes up with a great design, with every single piece already cut up and notched, and only needing to be welded together, then it would be a bargain for the consumer.

Are there any kits available that you know of that don't exit the monocoque?

And the first 3 or 4 you get will be fine but then...

I could go on and on.
