the 205/45/16 would be stretched, right? making the sidewall shorter on a 16x8et23(e30m3)?

How low is your car. I bet if your car wasn't slammed and the springs are stiff enough you will fit them with your fenders rolled flat, might want to pull them a little for really hard driving or if your going to be carrying people around.

The other guy that has them looks like his car is pretty tall.

they will be slightly stretched but not enough to really make a huge difference in height. it looks good though

the car is a track car on h and r race springs with billy sports... no rear seats and the normal track weight reduction... i already have the fenders rolled somewhat... but ill be rolling them completely flat and probably flairing them out a bit with the roller...

I wonder how much degradation has affected performance of the 2005 manufacture date tires.

$460 shipped for some super sticky 235/40/17s is VERY tempting.

Really? I just called them about 25 minutes ago and they had the 2005 and 2007 production dates.

I love my RE-01s, I've had them for about a year now as a summer/AutoX tire.

As far as the 15" RE-01s. They say 195/50/15, but are actually as wide as any other 205. They should make some wider 15s though.

IMO, The grip is amazing and the ride quality is better than you would presume. The general complaint, which I agree with, is a lack of steering response compared to it's competitors. However, they are very predictable when approaching and/or exceeding 100% traction.

They let you know when you're approaching the edge, they let you know when you're on the edge, and they react predictably when you're over the edge. Overall I'd say they have awesome grip and predictability, while sacrificing some steering response for ride quality.

Personally I'm anxious to see how the RE-11s will perform on track.

Forget what the site says, if you call them then you can get some. I called yesterday and they already made it to my house.
                      I went with 205/55-16, about $75 ea. :D
According to the specs that is a total dia of 24.9", stock is 24". So they are a tiny bit taller, should look burly.

According to the tirerack specs on this tire, the 225/50R16 is also 24.9" diameter, same as the 205/55R16

My wheels aren't wide enough to go more than 205.. This tire isn't available in 205/50R16 so we will see. My original plan was the star spec but this on blowout was cheaper and better.
My car isn't slammed so I'm not too worried, we will see. Maybe some fender rolling will happen.
Trust me there will be pics. :)

Called the other day and they had some 2005 production ones. They shipped yesterday. I'm excited to throw them on my reeemzzz. I had the S-03's that I got from tirerack clearance too and I loved those, so I hope these are similar or better. Gotta live tirerack clearance specials.

                              Edit:

Like an hour after I posted this tires showed up at my door. Gotta love tirerack. The tires are 2005 production and they feel and look gummy and soft still, not hard and cracked like I had feared. I'm excited to get them on and try them out. :)

I just picked up a set of the 245/40R17's, $504 to my door. Can't beat that price.
