^True, maybe if you had a built to the hilt S54, 315/30/17 slicks and really knew how to drive you (Like Erik Strenaliks or Andy Hollis able to drive) you might be able to trophy at Nationals (ie top 1/3, right?)
But the E30 just isn't going to put down power like the STi's and EVO's. Even with custom adjustable rear trailing arms and all, which I plan to do as well.

And with SM, you have to remember to look back through Stock, Street Prepared and Street Touring as these encompass all the allowed modifications, PLUS what is allowed specifically by SM.
I went back and found it in Street Touring, you are allowed to use M3 CABs.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

Well you're in SM already, so just build the car to the extent of the rules which basically means you can do anything to the suspension except modify pickup points or offset the subframe.
Custom control arms, poly bushings, eccentric RTABS (because they are mentioned in the factory manual to repair crash damage) are all legal.
I'll be interested to see what you do, as I'll basically be building my car to the extent of the SM rules, except for some of the weight removal as I still want a car that doesn't suck completely to drive on the street.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com
