Why not just do what anyone with half a brain does and think "Well that doesn't make sense" when something sounds erroneous? I can't imagine I'm that much smarter then the average person but I have absolutely no trouble glossing over things that look like bullshit. I use logic and my own knowledge to determine what's fact and what's bogus.

You are a Mechanic, not necessarily making you smarter however, things that seem like simple common sense to you when it comes to technical information are completely abstract to say an accountant or a librarian.

I tend to agree with the OP somewhat. JLevie and Lee post some really good info. In general, I find that the specific technical sub-forums have some decent info. It's the general discussions forums that are full of the drama which I agree can be tiresome.

I know there are those on here who just love to flame others and those who act like they know everything there is to know about e30's because they read about it on someone else's post but have never touched that part of the car themselves and those people should exercise some discretion and just stay the fuck out of the thread.
