soooo glad to see something is being done. I would vote for a NJ/NY/PA just because I feel like CT guys can stay in New England. As long as NJ/NY are in the same forum that would be great.

This is what's considered "New England" as far as I am concerned.

NJ and NY are not in new england. So if NJ/NY had posted in mid atlantic instead then we would never have had this problem in the first place.

You don't want message boards to get too split up with subforums.

No kidding. The problem is people don't know their geography and post in the wrong subsections. The PA/NJ/NY forum would eliminate this. Not to mention there are A LOT of members from this area...take a look at the E30 M3 NJ/NY meet threads.

i don't consider NY/NJ to be mid-atlantic. this is a matter of debate, and ambiguous enough to justify a separate subforum for NY/NJ (IMO).

As a "north eastern-er" I just can't fathom why we'd be part of the mid-atlantic region. I'm probably not the only one that feels that way because I've never seen anyone from NJ or NY post in that subforum.

Obviously that is subject to debate but that's just my opinion. I googled the mid-atlantic just for shits and giggles and found that there's a split between those that think NJ and NY are part of the mid-atlantic and those that don't.

I feel the same way. The only reason I've ever posted in the mid atlantic sub forum is because of the all the philly meets seem to be organized in that forum. I motion for a poll of some sort in general discussion to see what all of r3v thinks. We do have to take the entire forums opinion into account... or the mods could just give us an NJ/NY sub forum:p

Would you like to have a separate forum for every state in the US? See my point?

there is a disproportionately large number of enthusiasts in certain areas of the country; NY/NJ is one of them. this isn't exactly the equivalent of asking for a subforum for, say, the dakotas (no offense, dakotans), so your point is pretty tenuous.

this doesn't really affect you, so why do you care so much? :-?

                          Agreed.

It took all of 4 days to get a 5-series subforum (WTF?) and almost a year and still no PA/NJ/NY?

In for some ambiguous tri state action! I dont want to have to sift through 2 diff subforums to find meets and what not, this shouldve happened long ago!
