Or a sticky linking to individual posts within the 24v mega thread. I've seen it on other boards as sort of a FAQ on a common swap.

    Keep it slideways!!

I like the idea but if im looking for something, I always know that the search is just a click away. Just remember mods that this will increase the "thread moved" ratio up a bit from here on out.

A useful thread link sticky will be WAY more useful than subsections.

I'm actually considering splitting the 24V section into its own forum under Technical, since it's pretty much known across the E30 scene that R3V has the most comprehensive 24V swap section on the web.

This is my idea thus far:

          24V DOHC Engine Swaps:
          - Wiring/Electrical - check
          - Cooling - check
          - Transmission/Driveline - check
          - Braking - check
          - Exhaust - check
          - General Technical - check
S54 swap is SO different it that that information should be kept seperate of the other 24v info IMO.

A sticky with links would be a great temporary fix but would take just as much time to compose.

People can barely post in the right section as it is...I agree with nrubenstein. There's absolutely no reason for subforums.

A few more stickys with relevant threads would help keep pertinent info, but IMO there is no reason for subforums in the 24v forum.

Plus, good luck organizing the existing threads into new subforums. A simple search of "ix brake booster" or "e28 motor mount" or "aux fan"...etc will get you what you need.

I agree we should have sub sections, it's a huge pita to find a small bit of information in a hurry with the current layout of the 24v section

Stickies are fine and all but....

Subsections would clean up the forum a bit. It would look way better than 10 stickies at the top of every page.

and it would give members more of a reason to flame.

                            -Subsection
                            and stickies per section.
That's all win right there baby.

Agreed 100%, spent a TON of time in this section searching for info on parts needed and tips. Mostly cooling info, so a sub section would be outstanding. But the search function did work out fine for me, so I am not really too worried on the outcome.
