    Lite-On CDRW Drive
    Floppy Drive
    2U Chassis with 400W PSU
    Windows 2003 Web Edition

2U eh? Pretty big... Sounds like a perfectly functional webserver. Since it will be dedicated I'm sure it will be much better than whatever we have now.

1U Servers are annoying to build, and a pain to work on, plus more expensive for mobo options etc.

What kind of connectivity do you have? You are going to run this out of your house?

                      Looks sweet, James. Nice work.

Any noticeable improvements to be had once we switch over?

Well its dedicated, and we have more bandwidth to burn, so it will allow us to nicely take on some enhanced forum features.

like i said elsewhere, i worked in a server room for half the summer and i don't have a clue about any of that shit. apparantly my CS class doesn't go past MS Excel, so I'm okay.

but nice to have you on the team

My main database server at my office is a Quad AMD Opteron, just the mobo was 1100 bucks.

Fun as hell to build it, and faster then shit.

AMD has come a long way =)
