Werd, I'm guilty too. I found that the 'Default' skin fixes most of the complaints... just the colors are back to old.

I'm not a fan of the layout either. It's too busy, and I always liked the simplicity of the old R3V. I really appericate the work you are doing James. Keep it up!

I put on the default board skin and found that one is much better. Maybe you could change the colors up for the default board skin for the members that don't like the new skin?

I really cant stand this theme. Fixed width forums completely suck IMO. Either make these fixed widths percentages or prepare for people to do it with their images. Ugly as hell and too much clunk. There are way better premade themes out there for VB. What made you choose this one?

wtf guys? i like light colors so i can see the images better... this is just complicated and confused IMO.

I figured out how to make the forum not in fixed-width mode, but I'd like to know how to turn off this "subscribing" to every thread I reply in business.

You can go into your user options and select a different skin called "blue commune" its WAY better color wise, but still fixed width. Time and time again people get carried away with their graphics on forums. You've gotta remember why people are here. Try to make graphics that complement the forums but dont distract from any threads and posts. Priority #1 should be user readability. Make posts within a thread as close together as possible vertically (cut that stupid bar off the top of each post) and have a basic background color with various complementary colors INSIDE the posting area to highlight post and UI seperations. Try to copy the blue commune premade theme you already have and make it 97% widths. Best of luck.

Find your username somewhere on the site, like listed as replying last to a post, and click on it, then click "find all posts by DaveCN".

Ok, it's much better now. I changed it to default and now have the "New Posts" option. The color still kinda hurts my eyes, and the member name/avatar/info being on the top of each post is different (=annoying). But at least there's only a 0.5" border now.

I'll get used to the changes otherwise. Good job James and Matt.
